Bruce is a recognized expert in tax policy, fiscal forecasting, economic modelling and quantitative analysis, He served as the first National Research Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation and oversaw the development and execution of their comprehensive federal public policy agenda. He also served as the Research Director at the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS) developing the institute’s fiscal research agenda, demographic analysis and freedom of information research projects.
Bruce has extensive experience working both inside and outside government. He has an extensive knowledge of government processes, including regulatory process, telecommunications policy, foreign investment review and treasury board functions. He has completed complex analysis of fiscal and taxation policies both inside and outside the federal government. He has served as a senior advisor to two federal Cabinet Ministers – in the following portfolios: Treasury Board; Public Works and Government Services; Natural Resources Canada; and Industry Canada.
